25. The examination of this account has been undertaken in ac-

cordance with the Programme of Work approved by you. There were

30 Queries raised during th year and satisfactorily settled. The

construction accounts will be closed on 30th June and the whole

account will come into General Revenue.

26. These have been rendered regularly for audit and have been kept correctly and up to date.

27. On 31st December the total Expenditure to date as per Rail- way Summary of Expenditure was $9.617.499.22. This includes in- terest $251.625.09 and loss on Exchange $63.229.01. The differ- ence between these figures and those in the Treasurer's statement is due to certain items of Interest, Crown Agents and Transfers which appear in the Railway January 1910 Account. lway Store 28. 30. Only one sub-division remained, viz:- Talpo, to which fre- quent inspections were made. The other sub-divisions were all paid from the head office which is now also the case with Taipo.

31. Mr:Phelips, Local Auditor, left for England on leave on 25th October. Mr: Heathcote was appointed temporary Clerk on 1st Novem ber with the approval of H..the Governor and yourself, and his work
